FOUR SEASONS HOTEL CHICAGO REVEALS ITS HIGHLY ANTICIPATED RENOVATION
The newly renovated Four Seasons Hotel Chicago embellishes its five-star experience with its redesigned rooms and lobby, city-inspired amenities, and breakthrough restaurant and bar.
A grande dame along the Magnificent Mile, Four Seasons Hotel Chicago has reopened its doors after a multimillion-dollar makeover. “This is a momentous time for us,” says general manager Stephen Wancha. “We are truly excited to welcome guests back through our doors while at the same time ushering in a new era for our hotel, debuting our hotelwide transformation and new Adorn Bar & Restaurant.”
From the first step into the lobby, guests are greeted with a freshly added day bar, as well as a new social lounge with a cozy living room vibe. An exclusive art collection from Chicago-based art consultant Shashi Caudill hangs on the walls and curated music inspired by Chicago’s local legends welcomes you to the updated urban oasis.
For this hotel, the design is in the details. “Light truly is the overarching and unifying element in use here,” shares Richard Riveire, founding principal of Rottet Studio. “The space as a whole moves away from dark materials toward a much lighter and more contemporary palette.” Dancing with the luxurious feel of the city, rooms are dressed in satin finishes, mixed metals and textured glass with unrivaled views of downtown Chicago and Lake Michigan.
This staycation sanctuary knows no wellness bounds with a 50-foot Roman-inspired indoor pool and an intimate spa offering the Magnificent Mile Massage with expert therapists and specially blended Four Seasons aromatherapy oil. Post-pampering, the seventh-floor Adorn Bar & Restaurant awaits, where James Beard Award-winning chef Jonathon Sawyer—returning to his hometown from Cleveland—has built a menu that draws on global cuisine while staying true to his Midwestern roots. “My interpretation of new American cuisine is taking what’s classic and familiar and adorning it with unexpected ingredients and presentations that will surprise and delight diners,” he says. That translates into enticing dishes like black truffle poutine with Wisconsin cheese curds; keto-certified triple-cooked whole eggplant; and picanha bistro steak with salsa verde and onion confit.
